Child Life Services
What is Child Life?
I use developmentally age-appropriate language, education, preparation, and play to support the emotional needs to help your kiddo grow and thrive during tough or unknown times. I offer 1:1 child life services dedicated to supporting your child so he or she will learn personalized tools to feel confident, healthy, and happy.
As a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS), I provide personalized interventions that reduce fear, anxiety, and pain for children and youth.
Why Me?
I hold a degree as a certified child life specialist, grief support specialist, and mental health first aider. In addition, I am a level 2 integrative trauma practitioner, early education teacher, and have many years of experience working with youth (ranging from healthy to medically complex and/or delayed) in and outside of the hospital. I am highly trained and skilled in child development, bereavement, and mental health coping.
Typically child life specialists work in a hospital setting but they are beneficial in any setting with children who are developing and/or overcoming adversity such as a chronic illness, death, or simple fears when faced with the unknown.
